Wedding Banned:
All party, no commitment! Hailing from Chicago, via Gas City Indiana, Wedding Banned has become “the greatest wedding band on Earth.” Wedding Banned plays 80’s and 90’s music, throwing in some other guilty pleasures, that will take you back to great times and moments. Their unique performance combines music, audience interaction, and comedy. Wedding Banned selects a bride and groom to get “married” on stage at most shows. Wedding Banned plays over 100 club shows, weddings, corporate events and festivals a year. If you want to have one of those, “you should have been there nights,” come and see Wedding Banned!

Wedding Banned was voted the best dance band in Chicago by Chicago Rocker magazine.

Wedding Banned was voted the best wedding band in Chicago by CBS Chicago.

Wedding Banned was selected as “The Greatest Wedding Band on Earth”

Wedding Banned was voted a top “bachelorette party destination.”

Wedding Banned was selected as one of the best cover bands in Chicago and is a top drawing act in the Midwest! about the Banned:

*Chicago Sun Times:
Why should a wedding band be confined to playing weddings?
Wedding Banned, a cover band from Indiana, plays the usual mix of ’80s and ’90s faves we wind up dancing to after the cake is cut and before the rice is thrown. They just don’t require a minister be present.
At each gig, the members of Wedding Banned select two people from the audience to be the bride and groom, then build the ultimate wedding reception around their make-believe matrimony. There really is something to celebrate at their show this weekend, though.
Wedding Banned headlines Friday’s Mercy Fest, a benefit for the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, this year celebrating its 125th anniversary of providing full-time care and education to disadvantaged, abused and neglected children.
Mercy Fest begins as an all-ages event, featuring family-friendly activities from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 3-10:30 p.m., it’s adult fare, with food, beer, wine and the bands (Dirty Rocks at 5 p.m., Wedding Banned at 7:30). All the action takes place on Mercy Home’s West Loop Campus at Adams and Racine.

*Peoria Riverfront Review: Power 92.3
The CEFCU stage on the Peoria Riverfront has had the feet of many performers grace it’s concrete platform, but I venture to say only one group of performers with the following and energy seen this past Saturday night. I’m talking about Wedding Banned. If you’ve never seen Wedding Banned, you probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but trust me, it was an amazing show.

*IIT Tech News:
“Skip the ceremony and start the party!” That may be the motive for some people who go to weddings. For those who only care to party, they would have been happy if they came across the Cubby Bear venue on Saturday night (kitty-corner from Wrigley Field itself). Wedding Banned is an experience, a show, a concert, an event that is unforgettable. Starting at 10 p.m., six charismatic musicians came out dressed in 80’s costumes.
The band only does covers of your favorite 80’s, 90’s and modern rock music, opening the act with “My Own Worst Enemy” by Lit.
Wedding Banned kept their innuendos and they were there to get wasted with the crowd and provide some entertainment. The band put on an act, asking two audience members to play bride and groom (or “bride” and “bride” on Saturday) and to keep the wedding act up throughout the night. This included a throwing of the bouquet and garter. Most of the show, however, was song after song of young people dancing to their favorite wedding reception tunes. Some of the songs included Sex on Fire, You Give Love a Bad Name, Under Pressure, Don’t Stop Believing, Baby Got Back, Rock & Roll All Night, all of the favorites from the last couple of decades.
Wedding Banned gives you that wedding night fix you’ve been itching to have sans the boring snooze fest and expensive gift-giving.

*Yelp:
Olivia L@ Summer on Southport: I had so much fun at the fest last night! The weather was perfect. I loved the band, Wedding Banned. They really played to the crowd. It was a good crowd last night but there was enough room to breath and dance to the music. I only wish that I got there earlier.7/31/2011

Linsey C@ Navy Pier Beer Garden: Lets get this straight my friends…the only time I’ve ever been at the Beer Garden on Navy Pier is when Wedding Banned is playing.
Yes, I know, it seems a little ridiculous to trek all the way down there just to see a band perform…but they are just that entertaining.

Alex T@ Wedding: Best wedding ever, thank you Wedding Banned.

Dawn W@ Wedding: Wedding Banned, my husband insisted on you. He was right! You were so professional and amazing. I was worried about what the kids and parents would think because you’re so crazy! Crazy fun, thanks again.

Wes C: I have seen Wedding Banned twice now, and I can’t wait to see them again. I keep telling all my friends about this band but they don’t realize how awesome they are until they see the show. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time until I went and saw the show. It’s a big party from the first song to the last.
